Robin, The separation distance of dense deuterium is about 2 picometers in Holmlid’s model
From: [email protected] … 2 nm = 20 Angstrom ~= 28 times the separation distance of the of the D nuclei in a Deuterium molecule. If Deuterium molecules are too big to undergo fusion using the strong force, then I struggle to see how it could be playing a role when the separation distance is 28 times larger still.
