Fifty "k"... shmifty "k". The sedan's price is still effectively beyond the financial means of a significant portion of American households, unless one is willing to double their current debt load. It would be financial suicide for me. Never the less, this is often how expensive technology evolves. Hopefully there will be a sufficient number affluent households motivated to establish bragging rights in their neighborhood, who will purchase Tesla's new sedan, and by doing so help fund innovative ways to bring the price down to more reasonable levels in future models.
