Hi Dirk,

This has gone on _way_ too long, please see below for suggestions on
how to eliminate the 'spend-all-your-money-because-I-am-an-Idiot-and-
told-you-to' crowd from your email.

-In YAM configuration select Filters.

-Under Filters on the Options screen, you can name the filter
anything you like; Wastrels, Idiots, anything at all, even the name
of the poor sod who has no idea of the value of money. For this
example, lets take 'Uffe Holst' just to have a name to work with.

--Again under Options, you can select 'APPLY TO NEW MAIL'. This will
delete messages After they are downloaded to your HD, or you can
select 'REMOTE FILTER' to avoid the wear and tear to your electronics
 and save time too.

-Under Filters on the Comparison screen, select SEARCH IN FROM FIELD.

--Again under Comparison, set the name
               '=' 'asteriskUffe Holstasterisk'.
You will see what I mean when you see the screen. The asterisk on
either side seems to allow YAM to search for the name.

--Again under Comparison, set SUBSTRING SEARCH for name and DON'T
COMBINE. Note, if whoever you wish to drop gets cute and uses
other names you can always combine later to ensure their removal.

-Under Filters on the Action screen, select 'DELETE' if you chose to
apply this filter to new mail, or select 'DON'T DOWNLOAD' if you
chose to apply this as a remote filter.

That's all it takes to avoid annoying plonkers with no sense of the
value of money, or just no sense.

(Don't they all sound suspiciously like IBuM salesmen? I often wonder
if these jerks really have any Amiga at all, or if they are just
'plants' working for Bull Gate$ in various mailing lists.)

Best Regards,
Merlyn
