^^^^^^^^^^^ Hehehe - this made my Mum jump when she abducted my
Metallica "Garage, Inc." CD ;-) hehehe - she'll learn!
Back to topic - I reckon that it is all down to your MUI/Voyager fonts -
if you've got them set to massive vector fonts (as I did a short while
ago, when I had a GFX board), it takes a fair old while to load the main
interface screen... looks lots nicer though ;-)
Now, without the GFX board (duff Eyetech single-slot Z2), it takes
almost 45 seconds to load the V2.95 interface.... nightmare... I have
ameliorated this somewhat by adding a few lines into my startup sequence
that copy FONTS: to RAM:, and reassign it - only takes 1.5 mb (out of my
available 128Mb <smirk>), which speeds things up a little...
Why not try this (even if it is only the once) to see if it helps... if
it does, buy more ram ;-) (or something...!)
TTFN,
MarkyP!
