Yep, this is a fairly good alternative. It has now been pointed out to me that the
problem will be a MUI problem rather than a Voyager one, which I guess rather
complicates things.
In fact, better keys to use than PgUp and PgDn I have just found are shift-up and
shift-down. This way you can toggle easily between reading a line at a time and a page
at a time. And yes, this, unlike when using the mouse, also has the effect I am after.
