Wow.
After reading the above one would say it's *you* the one who should
use a different mailer or, more likely, learn a bit more. :o)
As you may have noticed, I'm using YAM here, and have no problems reading
emails no matter how much columns people use. Surely you didn't fail to see
the relevant option in your settings, something along the lines of "Settings/
Message display/Wordwrap" or similar...? I can't believe MD-II force you to
read that way.
