a friend of me uses T-Online and he usually has a download rate of 6000-7400 cps
I connect via Mobilcom Freenet and I get only 4000-5300 cps. (We have the
same decoder)

You can use every external TA that behaves like a modem (understand
AT-Commands) and can be connected to the serial interface.
I use the �US Robotics Sportster ISDN TA ext.�. It was 250,- DM. But to reach
the full speed, you'll need an I/O-Extender like the Hypercom or SilverSurfer.
(Yes, I've read that you own a Twister but this is for information only,
Twister is fine).
