In the case, the "best" program is really a genuine Adobe PostScript
interpreter inside a printer. Anyone who is wanting to print out a lot
of PDFs (or do much DTP) ought to look for a PostScript laser printer.
Older ones with 300dpi resolution can often be found at low prices.
Unfortunately, colour PostScript printers tend to be expensive.
aPDF can output just the text, or just the images, but neither it nor
the Preferences printer drivers have a PostScript interpreter built in.
Ghostscript is the only practical PS interpreter on the Amiga - Post is
now out of date.
A PDF file is basically a PostScript file in a compact portable format,
usually compressed to reduce file size.
