Nope, I disagree.
V doesn't crash while writing, because the IO-functionality
is handled via OS and FS which, if they're 'bulletproof',
will handle the case of a programm crash correctly.
Maybe you should try PFS or SFS.

Nope, false conclusion. A program should't take care about
the fact the OS is writing to disk or not, the OS (FS) *must*!
(You're attitude would lead to the following programmimg
technique: Fact: The OS has a bug! A program should not do
anything when the OS is writing to a disk, because if it
would it might be possible that the programm would crash, and...
So no programm would be able to write to the disk, because...
;-)) (Not ment as an offence.)

Here V�'s crashes are rare and mostly caused by JS problems.
