Your questions made me reread the "APDF.guide" that came with the
download. It clearly states that you can save settings and docs. The
settings can be set for its own use and the docs can be saved for use by
other types of programs which are not postscript programs to print to
nonpostscript printers. In the setting part, you can check out its use
of font equivalents and how they appear on your screen. Now, if my
understanding is correct, once you have saved these prefs the way it
tells you, V will use them when VPDF is activated as a plugin because it
uses APDF. This should solve your problems, including printing without
using GhostScript.

I do have one unrelated question for all. How many of you are using
a paid and registered version of V, IB, and or AWeb? I am getting the
impression that a lot of you just use the Demo versions or shareware
versions without ever paying anything. I can understand if you cannot
afford to pay, or the fee is absurdly high or you do not regularly use a
particular program. But, I am also getting the impression that most of
you have enough money to pay the fees and are using most, if not all,
the programs, on a regular basis.

Now, I am not trying to be mean or unfeeling or anything like that.
I am only posing the question because we complain that not enough is
being done for us Amigans, and, it takes money to get things done.
Also, when some of you have stated that "it is the demo version...", you
seem to say it with glee, as though you were saying, "Ha ha, I do not
have to pay, but you have to make good."

I may be way out of line, here. If so, I apologize, but, this has
been bothering me for a while and I wanted to air it now. An article in
Action Amiga Magazine (about piracy) made me think of this. I am NOT
saying that any of you are pirating anything. Just curious.

                                         Julian.
