JA> Are you saying that the people of DOpus are TO'd with
No, I said I read a message on the DOpus mailing list; i.e., from one person
and not connected with Directory Opus/GPSoftware otherwise. I expect him to
be jumped on any time now.
JA> shareware/demo- ware, and believe that it should all be freeware/public

No :( DOpus 5 appears dead now anyway, apart from bug fixes.
JA> Are they speaking for Tao or Amiga, Inc.? Or is
JA> this just info being passed around to the members on the list?
Written by a member of the list. GPSoftware are actually ace, go buy their
products now.
I'm just trying to say, there are a lot of people out there now who simply
will /not/ buy Amiga software in the belief of something new from Amiga Inc.
Amiga Inc have, over the last 2 or 3 years, systematically killed off the
Amiga market. When they announced the "MMC" computer, all sales of Amiga
hardware dropped *dead*. Since the "AmigaOS is now Linux" announcement,
software sales died. Amiga Inc do *not* care and haven't since the Gateway
takeover.
