I didn't know it used XAnim code.  However, this doesn't change the central
element  of  my  statement - that the latest codecs (ie.  the codecs useful
for  recent anims) are unlikely to appear for any Amiga implementation (and
for x86 Linux too for that matter).

The  most  important  codec  that  falls into this category is the Sorenson
codec,  which  is  proprietary  and licenced exclusively to Apple.  Of less
importance  is  the  DivX  codec  from Microsoft.  MPEG4 is also missing at
present, but I expect that to arrive in the near future.
