Hi all,
I got vss2svn working but I'm getting some error messages after conversion and I'm wondering whether to worry about them or not. While vss2svn is running, it prints out a whole bunch of error messages like the following:
...
Can't retrieve revisions from physical file 'SFBAAAAA'; it was either destroyed or corrupted at vss2svn.pl line 773
Can't retrieve revisions from physical file 'TFBAAAAA'; it was either destroyed or corrupted at vss2svn.pl line 773
Can't retrieve revisions from physical file 'UFBAAAAA'; it was either destroyed or corrupted at vss2svn.pl line 773
Can't retrieve revisions from physical file 'VFBAAAAA'; it was either destroyed or corrupted at vss2svn.pl line 773
…
What exactly do these mean? I've spot checked this and it appears like none of these files actually exist in the data directory of VSS. It wouldn't bother me all too much, but I'm getting something like 700 of these errors. Unfortunately, I'm not much of a Perl hacker, and as such can't get much out of the code.
The actual conversion process seems to work, I get a useable dump file, and I can import it into SVN. I haven't verified that I'm getting all of the revisions in VSS, and that's what I'm particularly worried about. We don't have a complex VSS repo at all, we've basically just been using it as a glorified logging system nor do we use any of the weird VSS only stuff like cloaking, etc. that seem to be problems when converting.
My setup is this:
Vss2svn rev 190
Ssphys.exe v. 20.1
ActivePerl version 5.8.8
Subversion 1.3.0
All of this is running on my Windows XP SP2 development workstation.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.
