Thanks....for the info. I don't fish with expensive equipment. My current rod is a Griggs for $75. It just replaced a Sage rod from 1979. I just thought it would be great to have some memories of the trip. So if I could purchase equipment for about that price range it probably will be cheaper than hauling stuff down. I am more interested in still water stuff......so I don't know if tubes, etc. are that common in New Zealand.
