Shay, thanks for your advice.

I have just performed a clean install and ditched all the 'old' System
extns, panels, prefs etc. Went through the Mac OS Assistant and gave new
password etc. Restarted and b....me there is the old password in the File
Sharing panel again.
I then got rid of Dave and placed all the relevant exts, etc in a folder,
then restarted, hoping that it may just be Dave that is causing this. Not on
your life mate, password still there in Users & Groups.

Is there an obvious thing that I am not doing?
Another thing, should Network Browser 'clock' freeze when it is opened, I
wait for ages and it does nothing. I have to force quit every time. Do I in
fact need to use Network Browser?
