I recently signed up with 3G for Broadband Mobile after being told that it is compatible with Apple laptops.
My G3 PowerBook 400 (Firewire)( OS 10.4.10, 640mb ram) will power the Mobile Broadband Card and the Card flashes blue (apparently an indication that the card detects UMTS service), but the computer won't detect the card. The Card is a Novatel Wireless HSPDA Modem. It seems that the computer needs to accept Express Cards. Is there a way around the problem, other than ditching the PowerBook?
