Is there anybody out there successfully using the Maxon Ethermax
Ethernet Docking Station in conjunction
with a BigPond USB (Blue) Wireless Desktop Modem and Next G ?
All I want to do is set up a network that uses my existing standard
Ethernet Hub/Switch with the
Ethermax to Internet share and printer share between two Macs (a G3
iBook & G5 iMac).
The BigPond USB modem will not allow me to use the inbuilt Internet
sharing of the Mac OS and also prevents networking for Printer Sharing.
If I want to Network my computers (via hub & Cables) I have to
physically disconnect the Modem. (which invariably plays up the next
time I
reconnect it for use)
Maxon website suggests the Ethermax Docking Station is the
answer...I've researched around some relevant forums...info/
experiences seem a little mixed.
Just like some thoughts from Mac users before I fork out the $299.00.
