My SP G5 1.8 will not boot. Sits at the grey screen with the apple
and the spinning cog.
Sequence leading up to this as follows
Downloaded 1.5.8 and proceeded with install
Instal went right to the end then came up with "Install failed source
file damaged"
would not then reboot
since then I have run Disk Warrior ran to completion with minor
errors only noted
still no boot
ran disk utility from leopard DVD. Completed repairs satisfactorily,
it said
then ran repair permissions, many changes but ok
still will not boot
zapped pram
still will not boot though a folder icon now flashes up briefly
before the apple
and the cog goes on and on
Help urgently needed
