I just last week bought one of these altho model ATT022U to begin

You transfer the music direct to your computer by USB. I am assuming
your model is much the same as mine.
I have so far only done a test transfer of one record. The software
you will be provided with is Audacity which I think is rather good
but you should download the latest version as the one provided will
probably be quite old. That app is all you will need I think. It is
a bit tricky setting up but once you do all is good. You can export
the download music from your records to iTunes and then burn or
play. The software help is quite good. I presume there are other
apps and no doubt someone will say so but I don't know of any.
Audacity tends to be the software of choice with these devices because
it is free, but while being quite powerful, it is by no means the best
for the job.
Fortunately there are are some excellent alternatives out there.
Though invariably not free, they are almost all low-cost shareware or
commercial offerings. My favourites are WireTap Studio from Ambrosia
Software and Fission from Rogue Amoeba. I us WireTap for the original
acquisition and Fission for the final clean up (I have found nothing
better that Fission for the process of preparing sound files for
iTunes. Its meta tag support is unparalleled in my experience). I also
sometimes use Amadeus Pro. Others include SoundStudio, Audio Hijack
Pro, Final Vinyl. Even the latest latest version of CD Spin Doctor
(part of the Toast 10 package) seems to a reasonable contender now.
