Two items here that I could do with some help with:
1. How do you force the Trash to empty? I want to delete about 6 months of Time Machine backups, and of course there will be hundreds of files. It takes the Trash hours to even calculate the amount. So I am wondering if there is a way of forcing it to do this either on shutdown or startup?
2. I can't seem to do an update to the software, say to 10.5.8. Software Update just sticks and does nothing.
