I used one of the pioneers of DTP software 20 years ago. Ready Set Go was a 
small program (fitted on one floppy disk!!) and was lightning fast compared to 
PageMaker. There is  a company in England who still sell it for about $100, and 
you can download a trial version which does everything except print.
