Hey Daniel,

Our iPhone 3Gs don't get the new text tones, & some other functions ... Apple
are wanting people to upgrade to iPhone 4 :-(
Even the current page for iOS 4.2 doesn't note that the new text tones are
iPhone 4 specific, though it does note that GameCenter, AirPrint, and VoiceOver
have device restrictions.

/Quote
"Messaging with text tones
Know who’s texting without looking at your screen. Choose from 17 new alerts
and assign custom tones for people in your contact list.
iPhone only."
/End Quote

On the Apple iOS 4.2 page it clearly says the new text tones are "iPhone only".
If it was only for the iPhone 4 Apple should have posted that.

Ah well, back to serious work.

Cheers,
Ronni
