This free application is not only an excellent repository and management system for all your important PDF and ePub documents, it will also do the conversion for you. I have just successfully converted Apple's own Applescript Language Guide to ePub format, just using the default parameters. Took about 15 seconds. Calibre also gives you the facility to export your ePub document to iTunes for syncing with your iOS device of choice. No need for a third party service. Might be worth a demo at a future WAMUG meeting...
