Hi Ronni Thanks for that advice, I had thought that is what was required.
If that is the case I can first transfer some tunes (perhaps using a usb drive) from my laptop into the updated itunes 9.2 folder on Cath's so she has the music she wants then sync her phone using itunes. Does that sound right?
