I've got a problem with iTunes since my last (iTunes) update.

27" iMac, 2.8GHz Core I7, OSX 10.6.8 running iTunes 11.1.1

I seem to remember that on first running iTunes after the 11.1.1 update some
dialogue box came up - but I had also started iTunes downloading some app
upgrades including a large one I didn't want to proceed so I tried to stop
that before dealing with the dialogue box - which I then lost :o(

I don't really remember exactly how all this went down - but I mention it as
it may well be the source of my current problem:

Which is that iTunes is not working - I can start it up and it seems to
start OK but if I leave it running (without actually doing anything in
iTunes) it seems to quickly lock up and activity monitor shows it as "Not
Responding" - Quit process does not work but Force quit does.

I opened iTunes again and then immediately switched to Activity monitor to
watch it - and all seemed fine - after about 4 minutes I switched back to
iTunes (just clicked the iTunes window) and iTunes immediately went to the
spinning beachball and Not responding.

I force quit again and restarted iTunes but then very quickly quit it - to
see if a "normal" quit would smooth things out - but still iTunes starts OK
but locks up within a minute or so.

I opened console, cleared the display, and then restarted iTunes and watched
the messages - when there were no more I went back to iTunes (which
immediately locked) and force quit. The console messages for this episode
are below:

There seems to be reference to Apple TV here - which is surprising since it
is months since I actually used my AppleTV (though is is left switched on)

Ant thoughts at this stage? Prefs to delete?

My next step will be to switch off the Apple TV and see what effect that
has.

Cheers
