The table API you should look at is located here https://github.com/watir/watirspec/blob/master/table_spec.rb
Maybe you could use window switching API (https://github.com/watir/ watirspec/blob/master/window_switching_spec.rb) instead of attach? Consider attach as a deprecated feature which should not be used in normal testing situations anyway.
