All this talk about cars in Mayberry got me to thinking about one of cars that I noticed turning up quite a bit on the show. It is a green Ford Falcon. It is parked on Main Street quite a bit. In the show where Wally fires Gomer it is one of the cars waiting in line while Gomer tells the story about Birdie. Did anyone notice who owned this car? Maybe Nellie or Mr. Schwump was the owner. The reason I noticed it so much is that quite a few of my friends in the 60's owned Ford Falcons because they were dependable, economical cars. I owned a 64 Mercury Comet, which is essentially a Ford Falcon, just with a different body style. Orville Hendricks - Your butter and egg man. Anyone know how to get children to leave home?
