I love watching these old tv shows and seeing so many of these Mayberrians or
Mayberry visitors in different roles
George Kennedy was an outlaw on Gunsmoke and a detective on TAGS
Edgar Buchanan was a peddler on Little House. Not much removed from his Mr.
Wheeler role on TAGS
Edward Andrews was John Ritter's grandfather on Threes Company and a visiting
professor on TAGS
Of course Don Knotts on both Threes Company and Matlock. But the scene that
topped them all came on a Matlock show.
Matlock(Andy) was talking to a suspected murderer and the young man asked
Matlock if knew what a kleptomaniac was....
Matlock(Andy) says..."Yes Of course I do. I once knew a fella who pronounced it
"KLEPTOMENERAC"...........No Doubt who he was referring too....
Just a little bit of Mayberry in Atlanta.....
