Deb, I've recommended Windows Commander (now called "Total Commander") from http://www.ghisler.com/ several times on this list. I don't know if it will open your particular 'cab' files, but it does a good job on all I've ever tried using it on.
I believe they have a "free trial" period for the program, but after you use it, you'll probably want to purchase it - I replaced *most* of my 'utility' programs with it several years ago and have never regretted it! It's, IMHO, the "Swiss Army Knife" of Windows utility programs! I love its FTP abilities - it now even sends a signal to keep the session from timing out! because it's not a standard Microsoft format .cab file so I'm guessing this means they
didn't come from some hidden place where my Windows cab files are all sitting. I've
found other files by the same name: _sys1.cab and _user1.cab in a graphics filter
folder or two ... I dunno what to do w/them and I sure don't wanna just dump them!
