Ah, now I understand. Perhaps you should get an email client that can mime-decode things? ;-)
There is nothing wrong with my mail client (it can actually mime-decode things), patches should always be sent inline, not as attachments, or whatever. This is standard practise. And it makes life simple since one can use nifty functions from emacs to apply patches.
