I have restarted/reset the demo, leaving only the WebDAV calendar. This seems to work as before. So I guess it has something to do with a configured CalDAV plugin/URL.
I think it is something that should be fixed in the CalDAV plugin or in the Webical plugin architecture. Please file a bug.
