Same here. I would like to be able to completely switch off anything
which has to do with combining or zipping dependencies because:

a) I use CDNs for delivering most Javascript and some CSS anyway and I
   intend to ship very little local JS code,
b) lighttpd gzips and caches static content very nicely.

I basically don't think this is worth the effort -- for a sizable
application I will combine the local CSS files myself.
