You know, I just realized something. I think those big black squares that say OFF ARE clickable. I never even tried, they looked like status labels to me I guess. Actually they look a lot like the Status label with a switch on it, which isn't clickable, so I probably just assumed the rest of the labels aren't clickable either. Is it TRUE, ARE they Clickable (I don't want to try because I don't want to refuse new sessions right now)? Man, that just made my day! (if true).

Thanks,
Jeff

Hi Jeff

I noticed you asked whether you could select Refuse New Sessions for just one instance. This is a puzzling question and implies that you are missing something (or maybe I am). The Monitor screen where the Refuse New Sessions buttons appears is the Detail View page. Each instance is on a separate line, so you click the "OFF" button under Refuse New Sessions for whichever instances you intend shutting down.

One other thing about that process:

Add instances (they will be new version.) ..
Turn off Auto Recover for the old version instances
Turn on Refuse New Sessions for the old version instances

This seems to imply that after adding new instances, you can then pick and choose which instances to turn on Refuse New Sessions for. Is the sequence out of order? To me it would seem you would need to turn on Refuse new Sessions first, then add the new instances. Same thing for turning off auto recover, if you just want it to apply to the old instances, although that's not as big a deal since you can turn auto-recover back on after deleting the old instances. But not being able to refuse new session individually means you have to first refuse new sessions, and THEN start up the new app. And this means there will be a period where you won't have an application accepting any sessions. Or am I confused (probably the case)?

Thanks,
Jeff
