Jerry,
You have two option to deploy your WebObjects application:
1. Deploy a traditional WO application by installing WebObjects
Deployment on the deployment server.
2. Deploy your application under Tomcat/JBoss or other servlet
container and used that container's management tools to configure
your app.
If you have no control over your deployment server you will also need
to make sure to bundle up all the WebObjects framework stuff within
an single directory deployment. See the WO Wiki page for more
information on deploying your application to Tomcat.
In the case your deployment server has none of these options and you
have no control of that server then you're not going to be able to
install your application there and need to look for other options.

descriptor" that the adapter would consult to do the right thing.
I have read the WO deployment docs but its not really clear if this
scenario is supported.
