Greetings: I spent 4-6 hrs last night trying to set up my new imac to act as a server for a tiny web app I have developed. I managed to get the dev setup last weekend, putting WO and Wonder in their own custom directories, and managed (with lots of Pascal's help) getting the split build to actually build and give me artifacts. Then put them in what appears to be the logical place (the Applications folder of my WO install for the application bundle), and have gotten wotaskd and JavaMonitor to run with a plist pointing to localhost, and added the app.
However, despite JavaMonitor telling me the app is running, I get a cannot find server error page when I click on it. I get the same error when I click on the host link "localhost:2001" and can't find either from another computer on the same wifi network. I therefore have no idea if the app is actually running, doing what it's supposed to or what, and as I can't see it from another box, it wouldn't be doing me a lot of good, regardless. Any suggestions? I am looking for a plain vanilla deployment on a new Mac OS X 10.6.4 iMac (plain vanilla except that WO is installed in a non-standard location). I am also using the same machine as the dev box (for now) Andrew PS: wouldn't it be great if there was a default deployment script/wrapper to do the standard plain vanilla deployment things for you, and pre-fill appropriate paths, etc with defaults which you could change where necessary (e.g. a non-standard location for WO), and then let you know what was done in a text file? _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
