Nothing we do requires 1.6. You should be fine running Eclipse 3.5 on any platform.

Leopard does not support 32Bit Java 6. I believe Snow Leopard does but Leopard does not. The only java 1.6 that leopard supports is 64bit.

Hello List!

I am trying to get the new Eclipse 3.5 cocoa to work on my core duo 32 bit mac (leopard). There seems to be some problems since WOlips are using the java 1.6 libraries and according to this note on an apple support document:

The Java SE 6 release for Leopard is targeted at Java developers. This version of Java for Mac OS X requires an Intel-based Mac capable of running 64-bit applications, including computers with Core 2 Duo processors and any Mac Pro computer.

Is it the case that my machine is excluded from the cocoa/ eclipse3.5/new wolips coolish feature sets!

What about Snow Leopard! I was hoping to upgrade to that!

Anyone with the same problem?

/Fredrik
