Usually, tax exemption is only valid in the country where the foundation is located. For example, I can't donate to an organization in France and expecting a tax refund in Canada. And the WOCommunity Association is a regular non-for-profit CORPORATION, so it's the same as a regular corporation but any profits can't be distributed to stock holders (because a non-for-profit don't have "stocks"). Having a real foundation was just a major pain to create and manage for the size of our community.
