As has already been explained, this issue is caused by a bug in Jive, a
third party product. We are actively working with the vendor to get a
fix, and in the meantime you can either subscribe to the forums of
interest, or read the list archives at mail.opensolaris.org. Until we
get a fix from Jive, there's nothing more we can really do except to ask
for everyone's forbearance.

Longer term we are looking to replace Jive with an open-source
alternative, if we can find something suitable.

I don't quite see how a bug in Jive translates into a lack of focus on
our part. As I've already said, it is something we are actively trying
to resolve.

One of the reasons for the upgrade is it forms part of the preparations
for the site restructuring. If anything the fact that we've hit this
problem shows that we are serious about supporting and developing the
community, rather than the opposite.

I think I can safely say for all of us involved that we've taken
community building seriously since the very start of the OpenSolaris
project, and that we continue to do so. In fact, building a community
was one of the primary goals, and still is.

As far as the Jive issues are concerned, I think characterising them as
an 'amateur mistake' is incorrect. Please remember that you may feel
you are directing your comments at 'Sun the corporate entity'. However,
they are being read by real people such as myself and the rest of the
OpenSolaris.org team.
