So far, in this "discussion", the focus has been mostly on interactive use, but there are other impacts as well. As an example of a boundary system that will be negatively affected by this sort of change, the ARC case mirroring script (that populates and maintains ~10,000 pages on the OS.o site) would not be able to work at all in such an environment.
