I think that's a bit of an overreaction, to be honest.  And if you are 
happy with Amazon's model you'll be happy with ours - browsing the site 
will be unaffected, you'll only be asked to provide your password if you 
want to change anything.

The vast majority of our users are anonymous, and we don't track 
browsing by cookie.  Nothing will change in that respect.
