The "400 Contributions" seems wrong. It may be a valid count of the contributions from non-Sun-employed community members, but such accounting is somewhat divisive. We all are part of the community, and Sun employee community members have certainly contributed thousands or even tend of thousands of things in the last 4 years. Shouldn't their efforts also be acknowledged?
I wouldn't get overly pedantic on the metrics as it's just a banner and something that acknowledges four years. If we wanted to get / really/ precise on the number of accounts and currently active communities, lists, etc. it would be somewhat a waste of time due to the point is simply to show how much growth there has been. Sun engineers likely expect as much acknowledgement of their contributions as the BOFH does. :)
My only nit is the style and font difference between the one and the four, but I'm a type and kerning freak, which is why I stay well away from HTML and web stuff. :)
I just realised...it's this coming Sunday. I should bake something. e. _______________________________________________ website-discuss mailing list [email protected]
