Doing a little poking around it seems that the illumination differs a lot for just a day difference. Might be your timezone, might be your clock vs. UTC. I also found different answers on every site I checked online, so there's something odd in the calculations everywhere it seems. I lean toward date+time offsets, figuring it's likely 'everybody' cannot be getting the math wrong.
