Thanks for all the hard work that has gone in the extensive update, kudos to the team!
This is my first update of weewx from version 4.8. I use webmin to administer my sites. Looking at github, I see that weewx.conf is updated in this release. I am not sure how the webmin updater will treat the new version of the conf file. If I use the webmin update, will my old weewx.conf file be preserved in the etc/wwewx directory or will my weewx.conf get renamed and the weewx.conf file in the update become my new weewx.conf? Would it be easier for the users of weewx if the version indicator was in its own file that is included in the weewx.conf? Then any changes to the distributed weewx.conf can be in weewx.conf.dist and a point of failure during update can be avoided.
