A Wolverhampton curry house is adding a cobra balti
to its menu. Spice Avenue already offers dishes made
with alligator and kangaroo meat. Owner Naz Islam says
he came up with the idea after visiting Malaysia. The
cobra balti will cost �20 and will be medium to hotly
spiced. Mr Islam says: "It doesn't look like a snake. You
can go to America and you can eat rattlesnake steaks
but it's unusual to eat cobra meat."
Someone has stolen a $100 bill from an artwork titled,
"I Dare You to Steal This $100". They left behind five $20
notes following the theft at Aspen Art Museum. Police
worker Rick Magnuson made the artwork from paint
and real money in the hope of catching someone in
the act. It had been up for about a month before someone
successfully decided to cash in on the artist's concept.
Rick, a community safety officer for Aspen Police
Department, said: "I wanted someone to try and steal
it and catch them and this makes it vague now. "It ruined
the whole aesthetics for me; I don't think it's a valuable
piece of art anymore because it's been defaced."
A US student claims he has broken the world record
for the most body piercings in one day. Matt Brown, of
Omaha, Nebraska, had 171 piercings in a single day
to beat the old record of 102. The 21-year-old had 10
on his collarbone and the rest in his arms which became
red and swollen. Mr Brown is now waiting for official
confirmation from Guinness Book of World Records.
Joe Smith, who performed the body piercing, says he
has waited 10 years to find someone who could tolerate
the pain to pull off the record.
