Follow-up Comment #2, bug #12185 (project wesnoth):
I'm not sure I have a better explanation than the one I already posted to
Launchpad. I agree that in most cases it doesn't make sense to have a huge
castle. I want to point out however, that breaking Wesnoth was not my goal
when I created this map. I was really looking forward to playing it.
The fact that recruiting doesn't work in a huge castle was a surprise to me
and it bothers me a bit that I spent lots of time creating the map. I could
ofcourse try to recreate the idea by scaling the map down so it doesn't break
the current limit.
Instead of fixing the bug you could state the limit in game rules to users,
but I guess that would be quite confusing in most cases. Also I don't see why
the current limit is any better than limiting the castle size to maximum map
size. Is the computation really that expensive?
