Details:

If AI scripts could be written in Lisp (any dialect), with the necessary API
available, then it would be possible to use genetic programming to develop a
stronger and/or faster AI.

Although I am working to use a genetic algorithm to create a better version
of the Python API, the GA is limited to tweaking a bunch of constants and a
few minor choices for the AI. Genetic programming would mean the AI could be
totally rewritten. I'm a university student and would be interested in doing
this as a term project in a future course.

GP itself could also be integrated into Wesnoth to create an AI that would
adapt to the player.

Although it will be at least September 2009 and may be January 2012 before
I'm ready to start on a Wesnoth genetic-programming term project, I figure
it's best to make a major request such as this as far in advance as possible.
