If you post an idea for the experimental fork why do you request it here? So
if I'd even agree that there is reasonable positive resonance in that thread
it is clearly under wrong assumptions.

If the forum thread was so useless and unnecessary then don't make a request
in the first place. We do require a forum discussion so details get worked
out and then we obviously want a reference to that in the resulting feature
request.

The point of having a discussion in the forum prior to making a request here
is precisely to not have to discuss it here since this is not the place for
it. We don't want this tracker filled with stuff we don't even know if we
want yet.
