Follow-up Comment #9, bug #14830 (project wesnoth):
In 1.8.3+svn the behavior is as follows:
g++ compiler aka CodeBlocks crashes, got something in stderr:
terminate called after throwing an instance of 'CVideo::quit'
This stderr output isn't present in 1.8.0 (wesnoth distribution) but the
crash, too.
In VS debug or release built it isn't reproducible so no backtrace :(.
