Follow-up Comment #10, bug #14830 (project wesnoth):
The issue in 1.9 is now fixed, so the old one, if it still exists, will
perhaps reappear. About 1.8.3+svn, I'm not able to reproduce it. If you get a
chance to run it under gdb (perhaps it is shipped with codeblocks or easy to
install), please post a backtrace of the code causing the abrupt termination.
