Follow-up Comment #1, bug #24553 (project wesnoth):
As of 1.13.5, this is still an issue. Of the official campaigns they all still
have a brief flash of the game screen except for Legend of Wesmere, which
remains fixed on the game screen until the 'Next' button is pressed.
Bug #24702 is related, possibly a duplicate.
